Update March 2010 - full crew now, thanks
Hi all. Mojomo's 8th transatlantic trip begins with crew meetup on weds May 5th at St Martin airport SMX, few days preparation and set off towards
Azores, Gibraltar and ultimately Alicante in Med Spain. The whole trip takes 5 weeks from that thursday 6th may and crew change is targeted on June 9th.
I need four crew to help get the boat there - I think i have three so just one more needed!.
Do you fancy a trip? We share expenses, cooking and bad jokes......

Departure point is St Martin, French West Indies (in the caribbean) and initial target is Azores, then Portugal/Gibraltar and into the Med. Final destination target is Alicante on Med coast of Spain.

Departure date target is when we're ready, likely around Sunday 9thMay. It takes about 2 weeks to reach Azores, another week to reach Europe, add a few days for getting ready and a couple of days stopover in Azores makes this a 5week trip.

Boat: Mojomo is a 50-foot catamaran, google for Alliaura Privilege 495, comfy big boat with lots of kit for transats - fridge, freezer, generator, watermaker etc and lots of safety gear.

Costs: I pay all boat costs, you pay your costs (flights to SMX and out from Alicante, Spain) and we share food costs, likely about $12 a day so 35 days is gonna be $400 plus those flights....

About you : You'll be vaguely adult, young at heart, hopefully with some sailing experience although being fun, outgoing, sense of adventure etc is probably more important. If you can't sail then you should be into adventure sports- skiing, motorbikes and all that stuff. Oh and we share cooking so you'l have to be able to cook edible food. Chocolate chip cookies don't count as "cooking", but we'll take some anyway.
