I am preparing a cruise from Puerto Rico to the BVI,s then Dominican Republic and on to Cuba. Can anyone tell me of the Visa requirements for each of these entry countries and cruising permits etc. I have an SSR registered British flag yacht and I travel on a British passport. Thanks in advance. P.S. Do you want to join me? Julian

Getting into Cuba is a doddle although just about everyone from environmental health to the doctors (about eight in all) need to give you clearance but it is well organised (Marina Hemmingway) and the people personable. In my experience skippering a British flagged vessel it was more dfficult and bureaucratic getting into the USA but I may have been the exception.

You will need a visa for the US, none for the Dominican Republic and Cuba
