I'm looking to purchase a used catamaran from 40-46' in length in the next 18 months, for liveabord, and day sail chartering. I've looked at Foutain-Pajot and Lagoon Cat's at the Annapolis Boat Show and like both of them.I'm looking for input from people who've sailed F-P,lagoon,Leopord,etc: for any input into pro's, and con's, on any of these Cat's. I'd also appreciate any advice on buying something a couple of years older but bigger, as opposed to newer and smaller. I know with the improvements in manufacturing, and payload capacity, it may be better to go newer and smaller vs older and bigger. Any thoughts and experiences on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for any input.I love this forum.many, many valuable tips.

The boats you mention are charter-style boats, built down t a price rather than up to a quality standard. Have a chat in multihulls4us.com for more expert/biased opinions. Good luck!
