I am a 26 year old male who formerly worked in finance. I'd like to get into sailing but don't know anything about it. I think I would enjoy the lifestyle though. Do any of y'all have any suggestions about the best way to get into sailing? I'd like to sail with somebody prior to putting some money into some formal classes or eduction. What is the easiest way to go about doing this? I think I would enjoy delivering boats. Is this a feasible short to mid term career option? How does one get to the level where this is possible? Thanks for taking the time to read this! Best, George

If you're still out there looking for information... try this. Go to local marinas and walk the storage areas and when you find someone working on their boat, introduce yourself and tellthem you are looking to gain some sailing experience. Then, volunteer to help them get their boat ready for sailing if they will let you cr3ew on their boat from time to time. That's what I did once I became serious about living my dream and it paid off well. Good luck and fair winds. Jim Chapman
