I kind of recall that it's a common practice that people donate boats to charities for tax benefit.
When I was in Richmond, San Francisco Bay, neighbor sailor Kevin donated his 50' Ketunburg(sp?) wooden boat and got more than $100K in Tax write-off. Ironically, the charity couldn't deal with the boat and sold her later for scrap price.
Let's help Bob with his endeavour if any of us hear anything.
