Hi everybody! Thanks for taking the time to read this and comment.

I am a 26 year old male who formerly worked in finance. I'd like to get into sailing but don't know anything about it. I think I would enjoy the lifestyle though.

Do any of y'all have any suggestions about the best way to get into sailing? I'd like to sail with somebody prior to putting some money into some formal classes or eduction. What is the easiest way to go about doing this?

I think I would enjoy delivering boats. Is this a feasible short to mid term career option? How does one get to the level where this is possible?

Thanks for taking the time to read this! Best, George

Hello 1 go to a yachtclub, have a beer and make some conversations with sailors. (maybe one of them will need a crewmember) 2 before delivering boats, sail a lot and start studying for a yachtmaster degree. I really doubt that someone will give his/her boat if you have few or no references. I'm studying for officer of navigational watch and I can assure you that getting a driver-licence for car or truck (I have both) is piece of cake compared to that. Good luck Tommy
