ID: 2 Title: Let's Talk About The "Female Partner Wanted" Issue Replis: 6 Read: 5123 Author: 7  Page:1  2

I guess a female point of view may be helpful about now... I met my cruising partner/S.O. via CrewList/Personal ad in my favorite Sailing rag: Latitude 38 in the SF Bay Area. I think for they few of us cruising women, it's a great way to hook up with the man or the boat. There should be some way to make the difference distinct however. Something like I wrote, " ... possible LTR..." would be sufficient. Nancy Birnbaum S/V SAGA

It's not a problem. Maybe add a gender field like on the crew looking for boats. So those of us looking for boats can elimnate scanning through all the posts that are not for our gender. choices might include: all, male, female, couples.

I rather like the list as it is. Why should restrictions apply to those that have a gender preference for a crew member?. In fact, I feel quite left out by the reference to "List for horny old men", what about us horny old women ?. Just teasing you all, who a person would like to invite aboard their boat, is entirely up to themselves. (;-)

Copy that Roger and I must say it is the most intelligent suggestion I have read all year. One cannot always tell from the subject title it's a Mix and miggle ad.
