If there's one thing that bugs me about posting logs, it's the format of the Lat/Long. Right now the format is a floating point number of the format degrees.(minutes/60). Thus 18 degrees 45 minutes turns into 18.75. Everytime that I make a report I have to pull up the calculator to do the math. It would be much easier if the format was degrees delimiter minutes.decimal_seconds, just like you read it off of the GPS.

Thanks for the 'confirmation', Geoff. I hate it too even though some GPS' have the option to show lat/long in decimal format.
The map server takes decimal lat/long as inputs, and I can't change that. At 7knots, the input(form fields, email submition) and output (display) can, nonetheless, be manipulated.
I've done some early stage changes. So far, there're some round-off errors due to back & forth conversions. To smooth out these glitches, I'm considering to store, in database, two numbers instead of one, e.g. W 124º 45.061' (-124 and 45.061 ) compared to (-124.751). Yawn... details...
